Sunday Videos - Cars I've Written About

Who knew there were so many DeLorean fans out there? Obviously not me. Last Tuesday I published a post about a DeLorean. When I woke up Wednesday morning I found a bunch of e-mails in my inbox from DeLorean fans. There may have been more sent to me, but one guy included a file of pictures so large it took up most of my available inbox space.
I still stand by what I wrote in that piece (I don't dislike the car, I just expected more from John DeLorean), but I'm beginning to understand the car more and why it has the following it has.

Anyway, thank you for all the e-mails (I learned a lot) and keep them coming. (Feel free to use the "comments" section in the blog, too.) Here's a video about the "new" DeLorean Motor Company I mentioned in my post.

Nobody complained about the Volkswagen R32 post. This is an old Motor Week clip...

This is why I love doing this blog. I keep learning new things. The other day I wrote a post about an old Audi 4x4. It is for sale in Canada for the whopping sum of $132.00 US. I'd never seen one before and knew nothing about it. A quick YouTube search for "Audi military vehicle" turned up this video and the vehicle's name. It's an Audi (Auto Union) Munga. The video is a fake commercial for the vehicle. (According to the guy who posted it, it's for sale, but since the video was posted in 2006 I have to assume it was sold a long time ago.) The Munga was a DKW / Auto Union creation. There is even a Munga Club in Europe. You can find their website here.

I need a new 4x4 for the winter... I usually go with a Jeep of some sorts, although this year I'm thinking of a Land Rover. But... how cool would a Munga be? Even the name is cool... Mehrzweck UNiversal Geländewagen mit Allradantrieb (Translated - multi purpose universal cross-country car with all-wheel drive.) OK, that's not a great idea... It's still a cool old 4x4.

Yesterday I posted a Pantera. This is a "Car & Driver Classic Report" on the Pantera.
