Sunday Videos

I wrote about the Saab 9-3 Viggen yesterday. Here's a 1999 Motor Week report about it.

Back when I was making my living on the radio I MC'd a show by J. Geils and his then new band, Bluestime. After the show there was a little "meet and greet" for press and radio people. While most of the people were talking to Geils, I stayed in the back of the room. (Where there was a table of free food and drinks. With everyone trying to talk to Geils, I got first pick of the food... I'm not completely stupid.) Everyone was asking Geils if the J. Geils Band was going to re-unite. You could see that he was tired of that question. After the crowd started to clear out I walked over to talk to him. Knowing he was a involved in KTR Performance, my first question was about an Alfa Romeo I knew KTR had worked on. His eyes lit up and we talked for a half-hour about Italian cars.

I've talked with many "stars" over the years, but my favorite conversation is still the one I had with J. Geils.

Here's a little video about KTR...

Thank you for posting this video. I'm a J. Geils Band fan and have never seen this before.
You might be interested in these magazine scans of Jay and his cars.

Cool site! Is that yours? If so, we know some of the same people.
Weird. Sort of 6 Degrees of Separation.

Did the Ultimate Garage show do another show featuring Jay Geils? The clips look like he's being interviewed.

I'm from the UK. Been a J. Geils fan since 1982.
