No Post Today

I'm doing a little work on the blog today. By the end of the day the blog should have a new look and, best of all, will use www.justacargeek.com as its address (So now if you want to tell someone about this blog, you'll be able to say "Just go to justacargeek.com".) If you have Just a Car Geek bookmarked, the old address will still work. Let me know if you have any problems.

All of this is "in theory", of course. I haven't a clue how to do any of this, I'm just going to "wing it".

This brings up another thought... I've gotten a bunch of e-mails from readers saying that they like the "Weekend Quickies" format the best. The "Quickies" are usually 3 or 4 cars in one post with less pictures and less text. Should I use that format more often? Anything else you'd like to see?

More cars tomorrow!

Weekend quickies is nice but the longer, wordier 'essays' are what I come for. If I wanted to look at links to ads, I'd just look at the ads themselves. Keep up the great, well reasearched, thoughtful, opinionated writing. I completely dig it! (PS- redesign looks NICE)

I agree with Mr. Anonymous.

I also agree with Anonymous. The quickies are fun but reading the stories that you have to say about the obscure cars in question is the best.

I also enjoy the new layout of the site.

I agree with the foregoing comments. Keep the detailed reviews. Like the new site too!

I also agree with the longer, most enlightening posts. Seems I find out something new ever time I check in, which is daily. Keep up the great work.

One more vote for the in depth, researched piece.

Agreeing with everyone, I prefer the current format, the single car posts during the week then the weekend quickies during the weekend.

I agree with everyone here. The longer posts are better. In addition, you are a damn good writer and more often than not, I end up learning something.

Give yourself a pat on the back here.

I also tend to look up the cars that have the longer posts. A while back I looked up a some Volvo, and ended up reading about the incredible Volvo TP21.

Thanks for the comments and compliments. The format of the blog will stay the same.

I just found your site today and have been working my way through it. If anything, I've been skipping the weekend quickies and just reading the "full" posts.

Awesome site, BTW. Posting about the Bitter SC and a Mitsubishi Debonair will not win you millions of followers, but is much appreciated by more than a few car geeks. Keep up the great work.
