"1957-Alpha-Romero-Giulietta-Veloce-Spider"-With-A-VW-Roof-A-New-Nose-A-Lot-Of-Rust-And-I'm-Speechless

Shortly after I wrote the Moretti post above, the seller listed his "Alpha Romero" on eBay...

Yikes! This thing has a VW roof grafted on to it! And a new nose, too!

I... I... I... I don't know what to say. While I'm completely appalled that this was done to a classic old Alfa (which I assume was in much better shape at the time of its roof transplant), part of me is impressed by the creativity and the amount of work that went into it.

This "Alpha Romero" is in tougher shape than the Moretti.

Located in Sacramento, CA, click here to see the eBay listing.

Wow... almost speechless. I guess it's the great base for a rat rod.

What a lousy piece of junk.....
It actually deserves the name "Alpha
Romero".
It sure does not resemble an Alfa Romeo.

This is a rough one. It is not a veloce.

I wonder about the rust, with all the leaves inside.
