1991 BMW M5 - JaCG reader, Jonathan, sent me this link. In his email he wrote:

"This is an interesting car that definitely merits an evaluation on the 'risk vs reward' scale……if the repairs are minor, it’s the deal of the decade…..if deeper engine work is required, the odds are good you’re upside down."

I couldn't agree more.

The seller is asking $5500.00, but is open to offers.

1986 BMW 524td - When you think of an older European diesel car, you probably think of a Mercedes. Maybe a VW. If you're a huge car geek, you might think about a Peugeot. But, Volvo and Audi offered diesels in North America, as did BMW. We just didn't buy many of them.

The 524td is an E28 5 series with a 2.4 liter, 6 cylinder, turbodiesel engine.

The 524td was by no means the fastest car you could buy. It took over 13 seconds to reach 60 and had a top speed of just over 110 MPH.

This car has had its engine replaced about 10K miles ago. It has a rusted rear brake line and dry rotted tires. (It's safe to assume that the car sat for awhile.) It has some body rust and a few dings.

This is not a perfect car, but if you're looking for a diesel project -and want something unusual - the asking price is just $1500.00.

1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce - While prowling around for cars to feature, I stumbled on this. I really have no reason to post this other than it being a nice, original Veloce.

With 128,000 miles on it, it has probably had some work done to it. Getting maintenance records with this car would be a huge plus.
