1977 Volvo 245 DL - This is in beautiful shape. It has just 42,000 miles on it and looks like new.

The seller had an opening bid price of $12,000.00. I thought that was high, but he's already gotten one bid. Shows you what I know, I guess.

A big thanks to John for sending me this link.

1969 Volkswagen Camper - The seller writes, "Includes all 3 cots in working condition. (Sleeps 5 hippies! -7 in case of extreme love.)"

The VW Camper is the ultimate hippie machine. This one appears to be in great shape.

1960 Ford Thunderbird "Golde Top" - Ya learn somethin' new every day...

Until tonight I had no idea that this was the first US car to come with a factory sunroof.

About the name: Back in the 1950s / early 1960s, a German company called Golde and Company held the patent on the sliding roof system for automobiles. Golde opened an office in Detroit with the intention of having US automobile manufacturers offer their sun roof. Ford liked the idea and roughly 2500 of these cars were built. Officially it was known as the Thunderbird Hardtop with Sun Roof. Inside Ford and to T-Bird enthusiasts it became known as the "Golde Top", or "Golde Roof" Thunderbird.

This car is in serious need of restoration. 1960 T-Birds are, for lack of a better term, some pretty bad-ass looking cars. I hope this one gets the restoration it deserves.

1992 BMW 850i - I couldn't resist posting this. The E31 is a drop dead gorgeous car.

Oddly enough, the 8 cylinder 840i mated to a 5 speed automatic is quicker to 60 (6.9 seconds) than this V12 with a 6 speed manual (7.1 seconds). It's when you want to go from 40 to 70, or 70 to 100, or 100 to infinity that the V12 really shines. I had a chance to drive a 750i for a few days a couple of years ago and was stunned by the mid-range power. Coming off an on ramp on to the highway is an absolute rush.

Dark green is one of my favorite colors on any car. (The other being red. My dream garage would look like a Christmas display, I guess.) This one looks especially great with the tan interior. (I'm not crazy about the aftermarket wheels, but they're not the worst I've seen, either.)
