1982 Volkswagen Quantum Coupe Diesel - When was the last time you saw a Volkswagen Quantum? When was the last time you saw a Quantum Coupe? How about one with a diesel?
VW sent the 2 door hacthback to North America for just a few years. I can't find any figures as to how many were diesels.
It you're into diesels, this would be a cool, unique daily driver.

A big thanks to John (Harv) for sending me this link!
This is a Rekord P II. It was introduced in 1960. The previous Rekord, introduced in 1957, had a shrunken US car look to it. With the P II the Rekord took on a more unique look (for better or worse, I guess).
This car is in very, very, restorable condition. Assuming it's not filled with Bondo, the body looks very good. The seller writes "I bought a new battery and had the starter checked out." I don't know if that means it runs, or just the starter works. The interior needs work, but looks to be complete.
With just 56 horsepower on tap, this will not be the most exciting car you've ever driven. It will, however, be a hit at any car show.

This one has been in the same family for 30 years. It looks pretty good with the top down. With the top up it looks like a coupe that's been converted to a convertible. Drive it on sunny days and just keep the top down.
The seller doesn't mention who did the convertible conversion. Over the years there have been some companies that did really nice work and some that did not so nice work. Take it for a long drive and check for chassis flex.
If the convertible conversion has been done well, this car would be a really cool, unique summer ride.
