It's a Honda, which means it's well screwed together and well laid out. My ex significant-other's Si needed nothing but brakes, tires and exhaust; the usual consumables. She also replaced the timing belt periodically and did the water pump at the same time, which is good preventive maintenance for these cars. When she bought the car it had 8 miles on it. When she sold it had gone over 265,000 miles (and still had the original clutch in it). Even though it sat outside for a year (unused and unstarted) before we got around to selling it, the car started right away (with a new battery) and the buyer was able to drive it over 200 miles to his house in NY without a problem.
CRX's do rust. Check the rear wheel well area, the door bottoms and floors. The car being offered on eBay is a California car and recently painted, so rust shouldn't be a problem.
The newest CRX Si is now 18 years old, but you're still able to find parts for it at your local Honda dealership or Auto Zone type store. Parts that can't be sourced at those places can be found on the web.
If you're looking for a quick, fun, reliable, drama free 2 seater, the Honda CRX Si is tough to beat.
Click here to see the eBay listing for this CRX Si. It's a well done listing with a lot of clear, detailed pictures and a video.
Crxsi.com has some useful information although it's frustrating to navigate.
HondaClub.com has an active forum and some interesting reading material.

You say it's unmodified, but the first picture in the eBay ad CLEARLY shows a terribly gaudy roof-mounted spoiler.
I don't see it. Are you possibly looking at the sunroof? They slid back over the roof and not into the roof (like most cars) on the CRX.

haha I meant the plane... reminded me of this: http://jalopnik.com/5162205 ;)
I actually really like to see a car like that in such great unmolested condition, also the volvo coupe from last week. actually thought about buying the volvo because of it's proximity to me but i didn't have time to check it out before the end of the auction.
I'm an idiot... I didn't even notice that the plane seems to be attached to the car until you pointed it out.
The Jalponik photo is great! I love that site.

Honda repalced this with the del Sol. What a mistake! They should have kept building this car. It's nice to see one this clean and original.

There seems to be a lot of discussion on that board about the merits of this car.
It's on Craigslist for $5500.00, which seems a little high.
My GTI has a salvage title. The only time a slavage title is a problem is if you want to sell the car. I plan on driving it until the wheels fall off, so who cares?
If you want to do the smae with this CRX the slavage title won't be a problem.
