Sunday Videos

OK, I've been told by a few people that the videos don't show up in the Just A Car Geek e-mails. I've sent an e-mail to Feedburner and Google to try and resolve that problem. In the meantime I've added direct links to the video. You can click on that to see the video (or you can just go to the blogsite).

I mentioned a TVR Sagaris in a recent post. Top Gear (of course) did a little piece on it a couple of years ago. I'm not certain I like the looks, but I love the performance.

I mentioned the Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT I once owned in a recent post. Mine was identical to the one in this video. This guy is having some fun with his. The Alfetta GT was the type of car that made you want to find an empty parking lot and do stuff like this. It was a fun car.

John Fitch is a remarkable man whose work I've admired for a very long time. You can read all about him here. Now in his 90s, he still shows up at Lime Rock events, notably the Vintage Fall Festival. (I saw him there in 2007 - with his legendary Fitch Pheonix. I wanted to walk up to him and say "hi", tell him how much I admired him and his work and maybe get my picture taken with him. For some reason though, I became shy. I lost my nerve. It's weird how that sometimes happens when we're in the presence of people we admire.)
Here's a short clip of a Fitch Sprint in action.
