1999 Vector M12

This is not your typical Just A Car Geek car.

I've been fascinated by the Vector and the Vector / Gerald Wiegert saga for as long as I can remember.

This car is a Vector M12. This car was the first vehicle produced after the hostile takeover of the company from Wiegert by the Indonesian company Megatech. The car was loosely based on the WX-3, a Wiegert era car, but was much tamer. (The WX-3 was supposed to get a 1200 HP engine...)

The Vector car is interesting, but the Vector story is fascinating. How Stuff Works has a good, comprehensive article about the Vector saga. You can find it here. It's not a short article, but it's worth taking the time to read.

This M12 has 3,900 miles on it. It is being offered by Daniel Schmitt & Co out of St. Louis, MO. Click here to see the eBay listing for this car.

That article about the Vector is fantastic. While it is great to have a vision and enthusiasm, you have to have the financial backing and hard-headed business knowledge to turn that vision into reality - something which Vector lacked.
