A Nice, Clean 1981 Triumph TR8

I've written about the Triumph TR8 in the past (click here to see it) and I realize not everyone likes these cars as much as I do.

Differences of opinion... That's what makes writing this so much fun.

This is just a really nice, low mileage TR8. The color, tan, is not great for a sports car, but the Brits seemed to love the color back in the late seventies and early eighties and many British cars from that period came through painted some sort of variation of brown / tan / beige.

This is an Arizona car with just 37,418 miles on it. The car was repainted in 1994 "to original specs" and has spent most of its life garaged. The car has A/C. The car comes with all documentation, including the original invoice and receipts for every part installed. According to the seller everything works as it should.

Except for what appears to be an aftermarket AM/FM cassette radio, this car looks as it did when it left the showroom. I've seen very few TR8s this nice, this stock.

Yes, the wedge shape is controversial (I like it), but given their performance capabilities and relative rarity, the TR8 is, in my opinion, one of the last true bargain British sports cars.

If I had the space to store it, I'd buy this car in a heartbeat. It probably wouldn't take too long to get used to the brown exterior.
