1969 Austin America - 10,000 Original Miles

I've always wanted an Austin America. I have no idea why. I bought one once, but it came to a tragic end and I never got to drive it. (See the post here)

This may be the nicest Austin America I have ever seen. According to the seller, it has just over 10,000 miles on it. The body is immaculate and so is the interior. It runs perfectly. The notoriously trouble prone automatic transmission works fine. The Hydrolastic suspension system is in great shape. There's really nothing wrong with this car. It's pretty amazing.

I don't think I'd buy this car. My idea for my America was to throw some Minilites on it, a Webasto sunroof, a Weber carb and do some engine modifications. I wanted my America to be a car that could hang with a Cooper S.

This car is just too perfect, too original to modify. This is a car for someone who appreciates the Austin America as it came from the factory. If you're that person, you'll be hard pressed to find a better America than this one.

As the seller mentions, is a good Austin America website. You can find it here.
