I can't imagine that there are many Opel Kadett 1.1 liter station wagons out there that have had this kind of bodywork done to them. All the tough stuff has been done. It basically needs a coat of paint and the glass and trim reinstalled. The seller says the engine runs, but I'm sure it will need some mechanical work (brakes, fuel lines, etc.).
In the US, GM positioned the Kadett as a competitor to the VW Beetle. It was successful and at one point Opel was the second largest selling import brand, just behind VW.
For a car that sold so well and had no real inherent faults, it's amazing how few survive today. It would be great to see someone finish this restoration project. The car deserves it.
