Weekend Quickies - Saturday, March 20, 2010 (With A Little Help From My Friends)

I have a busy weekend ahead of me, but fortunately I have friends and readers who sent me interesting links last week...

1959 MGA "Barbie & Ken Toy Car" - A friend sent me the link to the Jameslist ad for this car. At first I thought it was a toy car. €24950 is a lot of money for a toy car, I thought. But, after linking to the dealer's website, I realized that it's not a toy at all. It's a real, custom MGA.

I can't imagine any reason I would spend almost $34,000.00 on a pink MGA, but it's interesting and if you're into Barbie and Ken doll collecting, I guess this would be an incredible find.

Located in Kaatsheuvel, Holland, click here to see the dealer's listing.
Crash Test 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air VS. 2009 Chevrolet Malibu - This video is frightening... It turns out the the old cars really weren't built like tanks...

As always, if you receive Just a Car Geek via e-mail, you'll need to click here to see the video.
Thanks to John for reminding me of this video.
"Best Barn Find Ever: Two Brand-New BMW E30 M3s And A Fast Ford" - I haven't had much time lately to look at all the other car blogs out there. JaCG reader, Richard, forwarded this Jalaopnik post to me. I hadn't seen it.

Basically, a man in England just found and purchased 2 E30 M3s, one with 37 miles on it and one with 57 miles on it, and a Ford RS200 with just over 1000 miles on it.

Yep, I'd say this is the best barn find ever.

Regarding the "Best Barn Find", the gentleman also received a Mercedes 190E Evolution 2, again with delivery millage from the same seller!

I'd most want the RS200, then the Evo 2, and then the e30 M3s!
