1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo - Still Modern 21 Years Later

This is an impressive car.

This is a car that doesn't look or perform like a 21 year old car.

The 300ZX Twin Turbo has a twin turbo 300 HP 6 cylinder engine in it. It gets the car to 60 MPH in the 5 to 6 second range. That was incredible in 1990 and still impressive today. It's top speed is limited at 155 MPH.

The body was a complete break with the previous generation 300ZX. That car had very sharp edges and an over abundance of bumps, lumps, creases, lines and folds. This car is round and smooth and still looks modern today.

While the 300ZX Twin Turbo doesn't look or perform like a 21 year old car, they are old cars and many show the scars of their age. This one does not.

This is a 31,000 mile car that look like it just came from the showroom. It is, mercifully, completely stock. Everything about this car looks like it did in 1990.

For a long time you could pick up a 300ZX Twin Turbo for relativity little money. That's starting to change. This one, with 4 days left to go in the auction, has been bid up to $15,000.00 by 4 separate bidders. It will be interesting to see what it finally sells for.

A big thanks to JaCG reader, Saro, for sending me the link to this car!

From the pictures, it looks perfect. There's a Youngtimers exhibit at Retromobiles. It's geared towards 25-45 year olds who are collecting cars of their youth from the 1970s, 80s, 90s. This car fits that theme like OJ's glove.

I have the same car except mine has 14,000 original miles, and is a 1992. This car meets or exceeds any expectations of performance you have of it.
These cars are really starting to climb in value. I have been a car collector for more than 20 years and can see this being the next collector car group to reach the $100,000 value in ten years or less. All the guys around 35-45 years old want the 300ZXtwin turbo I have. They are starting to offer crazy money for it, but I keep refusing to sell. As those guys age and have more disposable income, they will push this car to higher and higher prices. Now is the time to get oin if you want one.
