1999 Supercharged BMW 323i

BMW never built a 4 door E46 M3. (I have no idea why. By not doing so, they all but gave the hot German sedan market to Audi and their S4.) That doesn't mean that you can't have a fast E46 sedan.

This 1999 323i has a G-Power EVO1 supercharger on it. I can't find any specific horsepower numbers for this application, but, based on the numbers of other supercharged E46 engines, my conservative guess is that it's putting out somewhere between 260 - 280 horsepower. My best guess is that it will get to 60 MPH in the high 5 second range. That's not quite M power, but it's still pretty impressive. (In stock form, the 2.5 liter 6 found in the 323i - why didn't they call this car a 325i? - puts out around 170 HP.)

As you would expect, this car has suspension, exhaust and brake upgrades to go along with the increase in horsepower. The body has a few mods, too. Most of them are tasteful and don't make the car look overly boy-racerish.

This car has just over 136,000 miles on it. The engine is very durable and G-Power has a lot of experience in creating superchargers for BMWs. There is no reason to doubt that with regular maintenance this car can go well over 200K without a problem.

BMWs perform well, but I wouldn't own one because of the styling. Too pompous looking and that look doesn't age well.
