This black over gray 850 wagon looks great. Best of all, it's a 5 speed.
The 850 is not as bulletproof as earlier Volvos, but they're close to the bottom of their depreciation curve and represent a lot of car for a little money.
I've been looking for a Volvo wagon. If this was just a bit closer to me, I'd be looking at this one this weekend.

A big thanks to JaCG reader, Dan, for sending me the link to this car!

The 1300cc engine is from Renault. The transmission is DAF's own Variomatic CVT transmission. It was one of the first commercially available CVT transmissions. (Audi's current CVT is a direct decedent of this transmission - albeit more modern and much improved).
DAF was taken over by Volvo in 1974. In 1975, the DAF 66 became known as the Volvo 66.
This car is in amazing condition. The seller claims it has around 25,000 miles on it.
If you're looking for a unique car that would be a hit at any car show, this DAF would be a perfect choice.

Cool car. Cool color. No, it's not the JaCG "norm", but this is a great / great looking car.

a friend of mine here in the Seattle area imported a Volvo/DAF from the uk about 5 years ago but didn't keep it very long, he sold it to a Volvo collector in Bellingham Washington, My friend that imported the DAF is the same guy who currently owns a Lada Niva and a Skoda MB1000 and he also had the Mitsubishi Debonair which was posted on here quite a while back, THAT car belonged to Me for a while as well
The DAF is way cool. Reminds me of an early Audi in some ways. The color is great too.
