1957 Morris Minor - The Same Owner For 51 Years...

The seller of this car has owned it for 51 years. Think about it. It was just 3 years old when he bought it. It wasn't a classic car back then, it was transportation.

The Minor was never a strong seller in North America. But in Great Britain and other parts of the world, it was huge. Introduced in 1948, Morris / BMC built the 1,000,000th Minor in 1961. The last Minor, a station wagon, was built in 1971.

In 1980 this Morris had the floors repaired and was painted red. In 1988 it was put in storage.

The seller recently replaced the brakes, exhaust system, fuel tank and fuel lines. He doesn't mention if it runs. The seats will need some repair as the foam has disintegrated from age. The car's biggest issue is a rusty chassis leg (which is common). The seller is including the part in the sale.

This is a pretty remarkable car. Collector's freak out over finding written history of a car. In my mind, this is better. How often do you get to buy a 54 year old car and talk to the person who's owned and cared for it for 51 of those years?

As much as I love odd British cars, I've never really been a huge fan of Minors, maybe there's just too many of them, Not really sure. I Do however like this particular car and am impressed by Any car that someone would own for 50+ years
