After 576,000 Miles In The Same Car, 93 Year Old Rachel Veitch Quits Driving

I featured this video in an April, 2010 post. It was one of my favorite posts. I love Rachel Veitch. I think I see in her a bit of what I want to become; a feisty old person, still driving around in my E36.

Sadly, Ms. Veitch can no longer drive her car. She told, "I am legally blind, so I can no longer drive my lovely Chariot. They don't have to take it away, I would not dream of driving that car again."

She has a great attitude though, going on to say "I don't have cancer, I don't have Lou Gehrig's disease. I am lucky."

I hope we all wind up as lucky as Rachel Veitch. I hope we all remain healthy well into our 90s and beyond. I hope we all find a car we can love for over a half a million miles.
