The 9000 was one of the "Type Four" platform cars. The basic platform was designed in conjunction with Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo.
The 9000's body was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and Saab designer Björn Envall.
This car is a 9000 CSE. The CSE came with a 200 HP turbocharged I4. The CSE also came equipped with everything you'd expect to find in a European luxury car.

The only real downside to this car is the automatic transmission. They are prone to failure in the 9000. To their credit, Saab replaced many out of warranty. Of course today, with Saab out of business, that's not going to happen. It's possible that this car has had its transmission replaced, but since most didn't fail until they had much higher mileage, that's unlikely. Plan on replacing the transmission at around 100K or so.
