1988 Volvo 240 DL - Yeah, I know. It's an automatic and it needs some work. But really, a 240 for $550.00? It's worth looking at.

Winter is coming. Someone here in New England must need a beater with a heater.

Located in Mendon, MA, click here to see the eBay listing.

Opel - Here's what I know, or I think I know.

I THINK this is an Opel Rekord C.

If it is, I KNOW it is not 1975 vintage. It's late 1960s, early 1970s.

I THINK the bumpers are custom.

I KNOW this was not sold in the US originally, which is why I'm posting this.

I THINK it's over priced.

I KNOW the seller's ad is useless.

I THINK it's located in Moreno Valley, CA. Click here to see the Craigslist ad.

(Any further info about this car would be appreciated.)

1972 Matra 530LX - As long as we're talking about cars that weren't sold in the US...

This is cool. Although it is in New England, I have never seen this car at any of the big cars shows.

The Matra 530 cars were introduced in 1967. It has a fiberglass body, steel frame and a Ford V4 mounted amidship. Interesting features include a rear window that opens like a hatchback (it also has a trunk) and a targa top.

There were three series of 530s built; 530A, 530LX (like this one) and 530SX. A total of 9,609 were built, of which 4731 were 530LX cars. Production stopped in 1973.

According to the seller, this car is one of two in the United States. The original owner was the Canadian Ambassador to Algeria.

The seller says this car is in "near perfect condition." No price is listed.

Located in Franconia,NH, click here to see the Craigslist ad.

A huge thanks to Matthew for passing along the link to this car!

the other odd thing about the Opel is it's on Mexican license plates, Not quite sure how you would go about "importing" a car that's already here, and Yeah the price seems nutty, maybe Half that much you might get some interest

In the great Steve McQueen movie LeMans, you can see some new Matra's like this one in a Matra stand very briefly when he is walking through the LeMans fairgrounds in between driving stints
